Established in March 2013 during the Fifth BRICS [Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa] Summit held in Durban, South Africa, The BRICS Business Council aims to facilitate cooperation between the five countries in various sectors, as well as promote trade and industry amongst them. As a member of this council, the South African Chapter BRICS Business Council has positioned itself on the pulse of South African trade and industry with an objective to further encourage the aims of the BRICS Business Council.
South Africa, which joined BRICS in 2010, has already seen benefits coming out of its membership of BRICS and this will surely go from strength to strength.
