WORLD NEWS (AS PER WORLD FOOTWEAR NEWS)

This year’s Global Footwear Executive Summit, which will be held at APLF 2024 in Hong Kong on the 20th of March, will address innovations in footwear production, materials, and branding strategy.

Bringing together experts and decision-makers from various segments of the footwear industry, the 4th edition of the Summit will take place on the afternoon of the 20th of March during the APLF trade fair in Hong Kong to address the industry’s main challenges and opportunities. There will be sessions focused particularly on exploring solutions for the near future regarding the “current scenario, where the demand for footwear is significantly lower than the available supply.”

And a session that will focus on the concept of omnichannel as a way of changing the perspective on branding in modern retail. South Africa will be represented by Nerisha Jairaj who has been requested to be part of the sessions in panel discussions.

US Aid’s support has been instrumental in bringing together manufacturers from across the continent, fostering growth and collaboration. Organizations like SAFLEC have played a crucial role in facilitating trade relations, paving the way for increased exports and international partnerships. This event signifies a new era of empowerment and recognition for African industries on the global stage. 3D Online Handbag and Accessories Design Course

EFLC/SAFLEC Introduce Groundbreaking 3D Online Design Course

SAFLEC felt that it was essential as part of its export-related growth strategy to collaborate with EFLC in introducing the industry’s inaugural 3D online handbag and accessories design course, facilitated by Russell Addinall. This pioneering endeavour aimed to educate participants on CAD techniques using freely available software. Conducted as a 4-part webinar series, Russell guided attendees through the nuances of 3D design, commencing every Friday starting from the first week of February. The course concluded with outstanding feedback from participants, who lauded its practicality and industry relevance. SAFLEC and EFLC solidified their positions as trailblazers in offering innovative learning opportunities for aspiring designers.

Meta Boost – Digify Africa Training

Elevating Business Success: Meta’s Personalized Ads Training

On February 22nd, Meta, in collaboration with EFLC and SAFLEC, orchestrated a transformative training session aimed at empowering businesses to harness the power of social media for growth and export expansion. The event drew an impressive crowd of 50 registrants, highlighting the collective interest in leveraging digital strategies for success. Focused on the theme “REACH YOUR AUDIENCE WITH PERSONALIZED ADS,” the training delved into the intricacies of crafting tailored campaigns to maximize impact. Attendees gained invaluable insights from Meta’s expert trainers, unlocking new possibilities for reaching target audiences and driving engagement. This collaborative effort underscores Meta’s commitment to supporting businesses on their journey to success. With the combined expertise of Meta, EFLC, and SAFLEC, members were equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in the digital age.
